NSF International Opens New Office in Oberursel Expanding Presence in Europe

New York – May 29, 2012 – NSF International opens a new office near Frankfurt significantly expanding its presence in Europe to meet the growing demand for certification and sustainability services. Strategically located in Oberursel (Frankfurt), NSF Germany provides management systems registrations, certification and sustainability solutions to the automotive, aerospace, metal, chemical, plastics, information technology, food, water, environmental and occupational health and safety industries, among others in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

NSF International’s Frankfurt office has created three new full-time jobs with plans to grow the full-time staff in the near future. In addition, NSF works with about 40 subcontractors to service their clients in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region.

The State of Hessen is pleased to have the opportunity to welcome Fred Wenke who will spearhead the leadership of the newly established NSF Deutschland GmbH office as Managing Director. Mr. Wenke was brought on board by NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd. (NSF-ISR), a leader in management systems registrations and division of NSF International, because he is a global environmental and management systems expert. He also will serve as Regional Director of Management System Registration (ISO) and Sustainability services, providing regional support for NSF's existing customer base in Europe.

Fred Wenke has a proven track record in growing business in EMEA and 25 years of experience in environmental engineering, quality management and HSE (health, safety and environmental) management systems. "Fred's business expertise in the system certification industry will help expand NSF's management systems certification operations in the EMEA region," said NSF International Vice President Koen Bontinck. "Fred will be the regional contact for our growing number of North American-based global key accounts. Having a regional hub near Frankfurt in Germany is an important step forward for NSF's global footprint and will help improve our regional service delivery."
